EMBRACING THE CURVES

ARTketing

New semester started with a new project called ARTketing.

So, what does it mean? It is a French term referring to luxurious companies collaborating with Artists and the product they create together (simply said). It can be some exhibition, packaging, use of art in advertising, limited collection and so on. Art is unique and therefore, the companies see it like a great means of boosting up sales, showing the prestige and differentiate themselves. For example, Louis Vuitton and Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, H &M or Dom Pérignon collaborating wiht Jeff Koons etc.

The goal of this project was to choose one artist who did some collaboration and create a garment inspired by it. The other part was to use “doudoune” like a primal material with focus on a pattern, design, colour.

IN THE ATELIER

Developing pattern and working on a toile.

All of us sometime feel insecure when we look into a mirror. We are comparing ourself with the beauty queens from the magazines, which are not realistic. Are you flat chested? Do you have bigger or smaller hips?

So what?

That´s the reason why I´ve designed this dress - to be elegant and feel comfortable at the same time. You don´t even have to wear a bra!
