RENOVATING THE CREATIVE WAY

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve moved into my little room in Liège, and it’s about time to give it a splash of my personality. I can’t just keep it white. It needs colour, details, inspiration.

The quest for colour lead do these amazing pen holders and folder. They prove that decorating can both be functional and easy. I’ll definitely do more of it in the future.

More paper creations: These desk organisers! My materials are all sorts of different boxes: cereal boxes, biscuit containers, etc. The shape will mostly depend on the content you want to fill them with. I’ve found its best to try them out before starting to paint ;)

Painting is quite easy too, and there are many options. It’s up to your creativity. I’ve seen people use paper masking tape, you can even get some with patterns on them. This time, I just used thick paper. This allowed me to use aniline water colours. These water colours are one of my favourite mediums, I use them for most of my fashion illustrations. I’m looking to post some of those in future blog posts, so keep tuned!
