BRUSSELS FASHION WEEK

It was 10 years ago that I went on my first trip far away from home. It was exciting and unnerving at once; it was special. We only stopped in Brussels for one night, but I had time to see the Grand-Place Brussels. Its Gothic and Baroque architecture got seared into my mind. I knew would come back.

It took a decade, but there I am, today, standing in the same Grand-Place, the buildings just like I remembered them. My purposes are different of course. I’m here for the Brussels Fashion Days. This means tons of networking, photographing, to learning and inspiration, but part of me is coming full circle.

I am a social person, but spending time alone let me visit places in my mind I’ve spent little time in. Once in a while I need to check in and explore who I really am. It builds my belief in myself, tests my confidence and strength, exposes my fears.

LET'S THE SHOW BEGIN

Although I was only there for the last day of the Brussels Fashion Days, it was worth it. The day was jam-packed, from brunch by "vins de provence", to workshops by Maison de Couture, to the International Fashion Film Festival (IFFFB), and of course, the fashion show. This show exclusively featured student work - young talent from the most famous fashion schools in Belgium such are:
